At Casa da Caloura, the intervention stems from an existing building, previously used as a summer house, with the aim of adapting it for permanent residential use, ensuring improved comfort and spatial quality.
The proposal is developed through a balanced relationship between shelter and openness. On the exterior, restrained geometries and darker tones are adopted, reinforcing a sense of protection and integration with the surrounding landscape. Inside, openings are carefully designed to enhance natural light, create visual transparency, and frame views, expanding the perception of space.
Light assumes a central role, establishing itself as a structuring element that shapes the environments and enhances the everyday experience.
